For the journey, we will be running a set of 285/75/16 TreadWright Guard Dog tires. We chose to go with TreadWright tires after reading several positive reviews posted to various online forums. The price certainly can’t be matched.

ExploringNH is our local off-road forum. Friendly people with rigs from stock full-size trucks all the way to off-road only buggies. Lots of fun to be had on a trail ride, and all family friendly.

The Defender is equipped with a rear ARB air locker and an ARB awning. It also sports a 2″ Old Man Emu lift kit which was necessary to support the extra weight we are carrying and give us a little more offroad clearance.

The lights on the Defender are the amazing LED lights from Rigid Industries. Durability, low power consumption, overall light output, and a low profile were all huge factors in our decision. We decided to run a 50″ “E” Series LED light bar on the roof  and two 10″ LED bars on the front bumper.
